It began with a 57 acre farm in the middle of Cape Cod and an enthusiastic young pilot named Robertson Brewster Ayling and Amelia Earhart as a stock holder and member of the board of directors qmong other dignitaries of that era, this new enterpriseThe Hyannis Airport 1928 to 1948. was born. A log of airport activties during those 20 years gave us an authentic history of Cape Cod at that time.
Culturally it gave us the birth of an airport, access into our global connection (air mail deliveries same day newspaper deliveries), the beginning of our tourism and homeland secrity. This airport still brings visitors to the Cape and provides easier commutes for summer residents.
